Our Speaker will be Amira Elmallah with Reinvest Sacramento:
Reinvest Sacramento has the goal is to get the City of Sacramento to adopt a socially responsible investment policy for managing the city’s public funds which sets criteria for divestment (see list of categories in Background section below & on the attached flyer)
Here are a few ways to support this campaign:
- Sign on to a letter to the City Council (attached)
- Sharing our public petition with your members and allies: bit.ly/reinvestinsac
- Responding to future calls to mobilize at City Council meetings (in early 2026) to show community support of divestment/reinvestment, and give public comment or submit e-comments
We will be taking Nominations for All E-board positions and voting on endorsements for:
Superintendent for Public Education (SPI),
CA -07, and
Sac City Council District 1.
